ACADEMY

This is the highest level of play in the club. At this level, competition is the catalyst for player development, and is designed with two objectives in mind:

  • Teach players how to be effective in competition.
  • Increased exposure to age-appropriate higher playing opportunities, like Olympic Development Program (ODP), Id2 camps, college I.D. camps and training opportunities with D 1-3 and NAIA college coaches.

Two training sessions per week during the school year and three times per week in summer months. Required attendance at Summer Tactical Camp.

Games are in San Diego County, and typically within the SoCal Soccer League. Additional competitive avenues, such as the National Premier League and California Regional League will also be available to players.

Competitive Opportunities

Tournament play will extend beyond Southern California to attain maximum player exposure to colleges as well as high-level competition that best showcases each player’s abilities. In addition, there will be weekend activities such as tournaments, friendly games, special training opportunities and weekly skills clinics.

Club male players will have the opportunity to access the MLS Next Pathway for advanced development opportunities.
