We are proud to announce that Crusaders SC has entered a club partnership with Chula Vista FC. After an extensive search for the best options to better serve the development of our players, CVFC, proved to be the best choice for us. One of the reasons that made this arrangement so appealing was the opportunity of our best players to test themselves in a higher-level competition and see where they stack up,  against better players. CVFC, is the perfect pathway to achieve this goal. Through this partnership, our players have an open invitation based on our staff’s recommendations, so they can partake of training sessions, individualized tryouts, guest play and finally, consideration for joining MLS Next teams.

As a club that wants to preserve its identity and community priority, Crusaders could not pass on this opportunity and is very much looking towards a fruitful relationship between clubs.

So, what is this MLS Next League and why is it so coveted by youth clubs? Amongst a myriad of leagues throughout the US, MLS Next is the elite league in this country and Canada. Managed by Major League Soccer (the US and Canada’s top professional men’s league) is the pipeline to the elite of the elite male player. With age groups competing nationally in the ages starting from U-13-U19 years old, players match themselves against the very best this country has to offer, culminating in 5 national championships. However, this level of play is not for everyone. Only those that decide to make soccer a lifestyle and not just a sport or hobby will survive and maybe achieve their dream of becoming a professional soccer player.
