2026-2027 Soccer Season Changes

Starting with the 2026–2027 season, U.S. Soccer will implement a new seasonal year age group structure for all youth soccer programs nationwide.

This updated format will align player eligibility with the school year calendar, using birthdates from August 1 through July 31 instead of the current January 1 to December 31 cycle.

This change is designed to:

  • Align player ages more closely with school grades
  • Reduce mid-season team disruptions
  • Support stronger team and social connections, as players will often play alongside classmates

At Crusaders Soccer Club, we’re already planning for this transition. Our staff is working on roster alignment, coaching assignments and other logistics to ensure every team remains supported and set up for success.

All rosters will undergo changes as players shift into new age groups under the updated cycle. These adjustments are expected to strengthen teams overall, highlighting the club’s depth of talent, development and skill. Thank you for your understanding, patience and continued support as we navigate this change together.
