On April 16 and 17, Crusaders/Chula Vista FC held their first-ever MLS Showcase at Pershing Middle School. Across the two days, four Crusaders teams – B2013, B2012, B2010, and B2008/2007 – participated, showcasing their skills and potential.

Thanks to outstanding performances from all four Crusaders teams, nine of our players have been invited to try out directly with Chula Vista FC’s MLS Next squad!

These talented players will be joining the current MLS Next roster for a training session on May 7, giving coaches a close-up look at their talent and abilities. Unlike open tryouts, our players will join a squad practice, allowing each player more touches and focused, game-like scenarios. Coaches see each player’s abilities in action, allowing them to determine future advanced play opportunities with MLS Next.
We couldn’t be more proud of all our players who participated in the showcase and look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of them!
MLS NEXT
MLS Next is an elite platform for youth soccer player development in the United States and Canada, managed by Major League Soccer. It is a platform for high-level male players, spanning age groups from U-13 to U-19, where players compete nationally and strive for five national championships. MLS Next players receive the best training and coaching as they prepare for their futures in soccer and in life.
