This will be the highest level of play in the club. At this level, competition is the catalyst for player development. This level is designed with two objectives in mind: A. Teach the players how to be effective in competition and B. Age appropriate, increased exposure to higher playing opportunities such as O.D.P, Id 2 camps, college I.D. camps as well as training opportunities with D 1-3 and NAIA college coaches. While teams at this level will compete in the San Diego Developmental Academy, other competitive avenues, such as the National Premier League and the California Regional League will also be available to the player.
Teams at this level will train three times per week in the Summer months while tapering off to twice per week once the player returns to school. In addition, there will be weekend activities such as tournaments, friendly games, special training opportunities as well as Friday night clinics. As part of the player’s experience, attendance at the Summer Tactical Camp is mandatory. Tournament play will extend beyond Southern California to attain maximum exposure to the players to college as well as high-level competition, that will best showcase the player’s ability and exposure.
